Emmi Kilgallen is an aspiring and dedicated illustrator. Born and raised in Melrose, Massachusetts, they currently reside in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
studying for their BFA in Illustration at
Moore College of Art and Design.

They've always had a deep love for
creation, ever since childhood, and
are sure to show their passion through
every work produced.

Coming from a mixed Irish-Italian and
Japanese background, they identify deeply
with themes of self-image, family, and connection
and strive to be a voice for representation in their field.

Both digital and traditional, their work focuses heavily on character work and telling stories through the piece. They love hiding meaning in everything they can, as they believe even the smallest details can help tell a story. They also like to use their work to conceptualize ideas around self, identity, and childhood. ​
